This encounter led him to embrace his artistic calling once again.
Sheppard's journey took a significant turn in 2016 when he licensed his first oil painting, 'Creekside Cathedral,' to Warner Bros. This breakthrough opened doors for him, and in early 2019, his original artworks were showcased and sold out at the 'American Contemporary Art Show' in Guangzhou, China. Sheppard's unique technique, which he calls 'Vivid, Mystical Landscapes,' developed after attending an acrylics workshop at the Sedona Arts Center.
